Situated on the southwest coast of Majorca, Palmanova is one of the largest resorts on the island and is only a short distance away from Son Sant Joan International Airport. It's also known as the 'family-orientated' version of Magaluf. With both beautiful, sandy beaches and a lively nightlife, Palmanova provides everything a visitor wants whilst on their holiday.

Beaches in Palmanova

Warm sand and water are the biggest attraction for most people when visiting one of Palmanova's three beaches. Playa de Son Maties is the longest at 1200 metres, Cala Blanca at 1000 metres and Es Carregador at 600 metres. Walk along the sand, swim in the gloriously blue water, or take a day trip in a glass bottom boat to see what’s underneath you when you swim. Visitors are also able to go snorkeling and investigate the tide pools. Whether you choose to take part in the adventurous activities or to simply work on your tan, catch up on your reading and just relax, one thing's for sure - a day at one of Palmanova's beaches is a day well spent.

Activities & Things to Do in Palmanova

Most people come to Majorca for the sun and sand, but if you're more on the extrovert side and want to try something different, it's a great idea to head over to Marineland to watch performing parrots, dolphins and sea lions. Another fun way to spend a day is at Katmandu Park, which features a crazy upside-down house and several other themed adventures. When you think you could do with a break from the fun but don't want to leave the park just yet, Tequila Ville Bar and Restaurant is the perfect place to go. In nearby Magaluf, a giant water park will keep the young ones entertained for hours, as will driving around the kart circuit, which is also located in this resort.

Food, Drink & Nightlife in Palmanova

Palmanova has a variety of restaurants and nightclubs, many of them that are close to the beach. Visitors will find fresh seafood, Asian cuisine, Mexican hotspots and plenty of hearty fast food. Party until dawn at one of the nightclubs, or enjoy the live music at one of Palmanova's more laid-back venues. A must whilst on holiday here is to go to the Car Wash disco, which has 70's themed entertainment and staff dressed to match. Another fantastic place to head to is the famous Pacha disco, which was only recently opened in Palmanova. Pacha offers a good quality restaurant that stays open until 2 a.m, plus a different themed party every night of the week.
